I was guided to the perfect seat with a view that captures the essence of Fairhope. A considerate and lovely interaction with Jerry, the 2nd in Command, to make sure I was enjoying my surroundings and food was an added bonus. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and I am convinced you cannot find nicer folks to make a person feel welcome.  Thank you kindly.

Have you tried the new expanded menu at American Legion Post 199? We tried the fresh catch which was a whole flounder fried and topped with crawfish Etouffee!  Delicious!! Can’t wait to try the other new menu options!!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a great spot on the Eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Friendly staff. A full service bar and restaurant (really good food). A nice beach area to hang out. This is one of my "go to" spots whenever I am in the area.

Not just the awesome inside look, but to top it they made sure the view of beautiful Mobile bay sunsets could be seen from the inside, but also from the balcony outside. Serving a fabulous menu.  AND I was told by one of the servers that the new temporary building was made possible by gracious and large donations 👏 I'm going back 👍

Oyster poboy! So delicious! Loaded with juicy plump oysters fried to perfection. Served with fries which were equally yummy! Outdoor seating is very pleasant with beautiful views of the bay.

Overall great time, and really enjoyed the evening. Great spot to wind down, or enjoy a low key date night, with a gourmet meal,

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. One of my favorite places to go to sit by the bay and watch the sunset. They also have live music a lot and offer food. The Tiki Bar by the water has a wide selection and the bartenders are phenomenal! The people who you meet are incredibly welcoming and most are either veterans or have family members who are or were veterans. It’s a great place to go and relax if you want or to go and mingle and talk to many people in different walks of life. I love the American Legion in Fairhope! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

First time visit on the recommendation of the local fox news , that 199 was have a great veteran's day celebration and man I was glad I did . I walked right in and fine men and women of this post made me feel right at home . The food live music and refreshments were all top notch. Nice beach tiki bar. Fun place. Minimal fees for vets, sons of vets and motorcycle riders. Special events with plenty of good food. I recommend a membership...nice folks.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place has the best atmosphere for being outside. Beach bar on the water. Limited seating so bring your own beach chairs. There is often live music through out the summer. Holidays are the most fun to be here, Memorial day, Labor day and 4th of July. The main building is very historic well kept and can be rented for private gatherings. The VFW bar inside is not Humm... IDK? Ok I guess.  Over all this place is great and any local will say the same.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Of all the American Legions I have visited and been a member of, THIS one is hands down the GREATEST! It's NOT some dark bar like so many other places. It is a place for families with kids of all ages. It's a place that empowers the veterans and gives back to the community.
